Duval, Fannie- French Country Side
(1861-1934). Painter pastelist. Born in Port Bvron, NY on Sept. 8 1861. Duvall studied in NYC at the ASL, Cooper Union and with Wm Sartain. She was active as ar art teacher in Syracuse before moving to Los Angeles in 1888. Working in oil, watercolor and pastel. from her studio in the Arrovo Seco came portraits, |andscapes, and floral still lifes. After 1 900 she made Paris her second home and studied there with Whistler and at the Grande Chaumière. Duvall died in Los Angeles on Nov. 3, 1934 Member: Calif.
