Wilcocks, Edna Marrett Portrais of Woman
Wilcox, Edna Marrett (1867-1969) Muralist, painter, teacher. Born in Portland ME on May 10 1887. Edna Marrett studied at Vassar College, ASL in NYC and Boston Museum School under Benson, Tarbell, and Hale. During WWWI she was with the RED Cross in France where she met her husband to be Fred Wilcocks. The couple make their home in Calgary, Canada where she taught art in the public schools. She moved to Pasadena, CA in the early 1930s where she remained She taught art at Pasadena's Flintridge School for Girls 1934 and was art director at Anoakia School in Arcadia 1936-56, Mrs Wilcocks died on Nov 28 1969.
